1995 - Ermitage

DJ Kolya:
«The first time I stood behind the turntables was at "Ermitage". Back then the residents there were Volodya and Art, hugely popular people at the time. Volodya somehow kept travelling to Belgium and bringing back fresh vinyl. And everyone knew it. And everyone wanted to hear those new releases. But at "Ermitage" it was not Volodya who let me at the turntables, it was Oleg Odzho. He let me mix literally a couple of records in front of an audience, and that became a real event for me. Because it is one thing to play for friends at home or at a "home" student disco, and quite another to be left one on one with an audience in a real club. That is how our friendship began. Then for a very long time, wherever he turned up, I ended up appearing too. After "Ermitage", Odzho moved to the club Royal at the hippodrome, and there I started playing regularly. Naturally, his own crowd came there, people began to get used to me, and I started getting invited to other clubs».
