1999 – Sprite Zavod

DJ Volodya:
"And then the crisis struck. The era of the Jazz Café began, clubs went over en masse to free entry, and troubled times set in. In the music a formal shambles begins, the speed garage direction appears, which I couldn't stand at all, and a host of young, wishy-washy DJs surface.
In such an atmosphere I felt extremely ill at ease. As a DJ I was completely at a loss. Nevertheless, we carry on working as promoters. On the eve of the crisis we sign a big contract with Coca-Cola for a tour of twenty Russian cities with a final party, 'Sprite Zavod', in Moscow.
That event was, perhaps, the triumph of our activity back then. We managed to turn a bare six thousand square metres of concrete and steel into a real club with superb sound. There was a lot of advertising and cheap tickets, which let us gather some incredible number of people. The headliners were Danny Tenaglia, Doc Scott and Adam Freeland, and the whole thing ran from six in the evening until six in the morning. Tenaglia, as I recall, was greatly surprised and left Moscow in something of a shock."
