December 1993 - the Opening of the Second Ermitage

"At the end of 1993 Dima and Sveta, utterly confident of success, began building the second "Ermitage". It was a black rectangle with an almost Party-style rostrum on the stage, and for some reason there were garden benches in the hall. It was decided to fit the place out seriously, investing a lot of money. Sveta entrusted me with a large sum for overhauling the sound equipment. Artyom and I were dispatched on a business trip to Belgium, from where we returned with a set of Technics and a collection of seventy vinyl records. During the club's renovation all this wealth stood in my home, and I gradually learned to mix. And, I must say, I learned."
