We offer for your attention a survey of the largest music festivals taking place this November in various corners of the world.
On the Thai island of Phangan, for more than 10 years now, the world-famous Full Moon Party events have been held. Long, long ago a group of tourists took notice of the mesmerising full moon in these parts and decided to throw a party on the island's shore. Since then the conceptual side of organising this event has diminished; however, every month between 7 and 10 thousand party-goers from all continents duly come to the Full Moon Party, predominantly residents of Great Britain and Israel. The party begins when a huge yellow moon floats up into the sky. The beach turns into one continuous dancing madness, with the lights of fire shows, ladyboys parading along the shore and an incredible amount of alcohol, guzzled from special cocktail buckets by students painted in phosphorescent colours! On the shore there are numerous bars and several dancefloors at once, on which various musical styles are played: techno, house, trance, hip-hop, drum'n'bass, reggae and others. As is well known, the Thais don't lack for enterprise. Over the course of a month, on the same island, besides the Full Moon Party, there are Half Moon, Shiva Moon, Black Moon... Some promoters have gone further and started naming their parties without even mentioning the moon, for example, Jungle Experience...
