It's no short trip to Canada. Nevertheless, this year the festival will gather an international audience for the 11th time already. And if you believe the various clips online and the festival's official site, with each year the event gains momentum and sets itself new challenges, which it seems to handle quite successfully. So this summer too the 'Festival of Digital Creativity and Electronic Music Mutek' offers its guests various kinds of activities, including music lectures, seminars, round tables and, of course, performances by artists: Actress, Arnaud Riviere, Attentat, Ben Frost, Bernier+Messier, Cheap And Deep, Chris Hreno, Dixon, Dj Koze, Eleh, Gemmiform, Guillame Coutu Dumont, Henrik Schwarz, Ikonika, Jon Hopkins, Matias Aguayo, Matmos, Rebolledo, Vladislav Delay and many others. A tented festival with impressive marquee structures protecting from the sun and bad weather, spread out amid the Austrian meadows. The main stage is presented by Electronic Beats; besides it there are 6 more stages and a whole series of parties will be organized in Vienna's clubs. Headliners: Sven Vaeth, Digitalism, Luciano, Infected Mushroom, Parov Stellar live, Bodi Bill, Alex Bau, Alix Perez, David Guetta, Spectrasoul, Popular Damage live, The Japanese Popstars live, Hallucinogen live and others.
A global commercial festival with an 'all white' dress code. The line-up and details of the Petersburg event are here. On 19 June the festival will head to Lisbon, Portugal, and on 3 July - to Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
We've devoted quite a bit of time to announcing this festival. The first distinctive feature of Sonar 2010 is its geography, which this year will be split between two cities - Barcelona and La Coruña. The most interesting and important events will take place in Barcelona. The second distinguishing feature of Sonar 2010 is a genuine film programme for the days of the festival. You'll find the details here. For the second year in a row the festival will feature SonarKids - a 'kindergarten' where the rising generation will be entertained by the same headliners as their parents, but with a programme adapted for children's perception. Finally, one shouldn't forget the educational component of the event and should look over the schedule of lectures and masterclasses. And also keep an eye on the OffSonar2010 line-up, which promises interesting parties running parallel to the official events from 16 to 22 June. A trance open-air taking place in the Moscow region for the fourth time already. 'Trimurti (Sanskrit for 'three forms') - in Hinduism, a reflection of the Absolute in three complementary forms, correlated with the cosmogonic functions of the creation, preservation and destruction of the world and with the corresponding three supreme deities of the pantheon - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.'
The festival's site has information that all tickets are sold out. Indeed, this is one of the Britons' most popular festivals, attended - besides the participating musicians - by other celebrities, for example Kate Moss. A large festival of musical pop culture with good organization. It attracts not only fans but also direct participants in the industry, offering within the event a unique project - Europareise. Representatives of roughly 60 festivals from 30 countries will arrange face-to-face meetings with each other and exchange experience. For almost a whole week, C/O Pop guests will be able to cruise around the city on special transport, moving from music lectures to concerts and from concerts to clubs. More of an event for intellectuals than for ravers. The festival was founded in 2001 in Barcelona and is devoted to all forms of new visual culture. In Paris the event will feature several spaces: for projects and performances by artists working with various media; electronic concerts; demonstrations of digital technologies; screenings of selected films from the OFFF film festival; interactive installations; shops; a chillout. The event's music programme is called Offfbeat, and almost all the announced artists hold French citizenship: Feads, Fortune, Gentlemen Drivers, Jupiter, Uzik Crew, Tacteel & Para One, Munk, The Twelves.
The festival hasn't even happened yet, and the organizers are already announcing the dates of the next three Fusions all the way to 2012. Such self-assurance has grounds. This year there was a real frenzy - around 50 thousand tickets were sold out several months before the event. We'll add that among the young generation of Germans this open-air is one of the leaders. You'll only be able to view the line-up directly at Fusion itself - the festival's policy.

An all-Russian youth educational forum with an international session. Within the Art Forum there will be a multitude of events, lectures and seminars for each of the Artparad's directions. One of the main directions is music. In connection with this, a large music workshop will be held at Seliger, involving 300 young musicians from all over the country, the Youth Union of Composers, as well as representatives of the musical elite. At the event you'll be able to meet the director of the French label Faces, Pablo Valentino, get feedback on your work from the producer and owner of the labels Mean and Serialism - Cesare vs Disorder, take part in an art performance by Fulgeance, director of the label Musique Large, and also listen to lectures on the development of artists both in Russia and abroad. The curators of the music direction at Artparad will be a member of the creative association how2make, co-owner of the label nervmusic and founder of the labels algorythmik and toy piano Andrei Algoritmik, and co-owner of the label nervmusic Artem Polyansky.
This Danish rave has existed since 1971. One of the festival's sponsors, the company Diesel, is running an interesting campaign in 2010. Girls and young men who pass the casting for the Be Stupid team will receive a pair of jeans and will have to wear them throughout all four days of Roskilde. From time to time the Diesel photographers will find them and photograph all the models' 'stupid' antics; later these shots will appear in the Be Stupid newspaper.
