They say that New Year is a family, home holiday. And that's a perfectly justified opinion: a table groaning with tangerines, Olivier salad and boiled potatoes; glasses filled with champagne; our beloved, nearest and dearest; the serious, slightly pompous face of the President and the final chimes of the Kremlin clock counting down the last seconds of the departing year - what could be more pleasant and wonderful? Special guests are coming to the New Year party at the club Most - Martha Wash and Charles Feelgood. The charming plus-size Martha is the very singer who back in the distant 80s sang "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" - a hit that rivals James Brown's "Sex Machine" in the number of remixes made of it. Judging by Martha's touring schedule, she hasn't lost her form over the years. Charles Feelgood is coming with a DJ set. You can expect anything from this guy: from old Motown records and rare disco to hard house and electro. Helping the foreign colleagues will be Most's residents DJs Portnov, Loopin, Grad and others. Surprises are also promised, which the Most's representatives declined to reveal, but then again, that's what New Year is for!

The situation with Solyanka, as always, is a bit non-trivial compared with other clubs. On 31 December there will be a "wildly special party" for the club's friends, which you can get into either with a club card or through connections. In honour of the New Year the Night Snipers are playing a pyjama concert - without excess pomp and with the band's characteristic sense of devil-may-care humour. At the appointed hour the band will come out on stage in pyjamas - and, without insisting but recommending, they suggest that true fans choose the same dress code and, setting off to see in the New Year at Ikra, not forget to put on their pyjamas. It's unknown what outfits the club's residents Osadchiy and Kovalev will appear in, but it's quite logical to assume that a nightcap will slightly get in the way of working with headphones, and therefore of mixing the good old funk, disco and other club heritage so beloved by Ikra.
