John Digweed is a key figure in the world of modern dance music. One of the founders of the progressive style. His work for the Renaissance label and the albums of the Northern Exposure series sold in phenomenal quantities, unsurpassed to this day, and, without any doubt, belong to the golden fund of dance music. His track For What You Dream Of, made together with Nick Muir, made it onto the soundtrack of the cult film Trainspotting and became the unofficial anthem of the clubbers of the 90s. His residency at the famous Twilo club in New York and a series of brilliant performances on Ibiza led to the leading magazines calling him the best DJ on the planet for many years.
During his last visit to Moscow, before his set at the XIII club, John found the time to fill out a questionnaire for 44100Hz... we present a brief tour of the world of John Digweed:

The secret of my success is... hard work and passion
In my fridge there is always... freshly squeezed juice
The best moment in my career is... first place in DJ magazine's ranking
The worst moment in my career is... I never dwell on bad moments
In the future dance music will be... 100% digital
If I were the head of the biggest media corporation, then I would... ban all musical trash
If I were the most powerful person on earth, then I would... eradicate poverty
For me money is not the most important thing in the world
The meaning of life lies in... having fun and enjoying life, since we only live once
My message to the party-goers: Enjoy life
