For the fourth time now the Fuzzy company is holding the Shore Thing New Year's party in Australia! The organizers promise an unforgettable spectacle that no fireworks could match. As for the facts, we found two unconditional reasons to attend this event: first, the celebration will take place on the snow-white Bondi Park beach, lapped by Pacific waves. Second, three giants of electronic music are on the line-up: Underworld, The Presets and Eric Prydz. Unfortunately, tickets for this event were snapped up long, long ago.

Detroit techno legend Carl Craig plans to perform at the New Year's party in Sydney. Only the best local DJs play here; the four rooms and the inner garden are always packed with dancers, and the Christmas festivities have earned positive reviews.

This year was full of tours and travels for the DJ, so he chose to spend this rather family-style celebration among close ones and friends. Presumably Sven will arrive at the club in the early morning, since his name also appears on the line-up of the Italian festival Amore. For fans of electronic music who find themselves in Frankfurt on the 31st, the Fast Forward 2009 party will be the best New Year scenario.

This is the only festival on our list that begins long after the actual New Year celebration, and we couldn't pass it up because of its star-studded line-up. It's not entirely clear how many people will gather in the huge Madrid sports complex on the morning of 1 January, but the organizers believe in our stamina and invite us to continue the modest New Year celebration at a gigantic rave in Spain.

For New Year the Minus label crew scatters across different Italian cities - Magda to Sicily, Carola to Rome, Richie, Troy, Gaiser and Fabrizio to Florence, while Matt John alone ends up in Berlin.
