In September the club Mio celebrated its fifth birthday. In honour of this notable event, Joe Goddard, a member of the band Hot Chip, came to Moscow. While Joe span records and drove all the dancers wild, we talked with the clubbers and found out their attitude to the finest holiday of all - the birthday:
1. Today is the club's birthday. Did you bring a present?
2. And how do you usually celebrate your own birthday?
3. And how do you usually recover after wild celebrations?
1. Yes, I know, but I did not bring anything. I also know that Joe from Hot Chip is performing tonight; I heard his set in Berlin and I will listen with pleasure today.
2. I cannot manage to celebrate my own birthday. When I throw parties for someone else, they all go off brilliantly, but when it is for myself, they end in failure. So I prefer to celebrate my b-day not in a club but at home with my loved one.
3. I advise everyone to travel after the holidays, preferably to warm countries, for example Thailand.
1. Well yes, I knew about it, but honestly I just wanted to listen to the music.
2. Er, I do not know. I meet up with friends, we go to a club.
3. I do not get any after-effects: I do not drink at all.
1. I had a birthday myself recently - Mio and I are giving each other ourselves!
2. The main thing is to spend your birthday among your very closest friends, and how exactly does not matter!
3. Can I say this into the microphone?
- Yes.
- Have some awesome sex!
1. My birthday was yesterday. In honour of it I even kissed Krasnov!
2. Well, way more fun than Mio's birthday!
3. I do it all over again!
1. No, I did not know anything about it at all, I am a random guest.
2. The last two years at home. I have a wonderful flat and I throw really cool parties there.
3. No, I never get hungover at all - it must be some physiological phenomenon.
1. I came for a girlfriend's birthday, but I do not think her name is Mio.
2. As a rule, in clubs... that is how it usually turns out.
3. No way in particular, I do not have that problem, everything goes smoothly.
1. Yes, I decided to give the coolest present - myself!
2. I do not celebrate my own birthdays, I prefer other people's, and I also love raves!
3. With the help of vodka.
1. Yes, and I brought a present, but I do not know who to give it to.
2. I throw parties for friends at home or in a club.
3. I do not drink alcohol, only green tea!
1. Yes, I heard something like that, but I did not bring anything.
2. Definitely at home. We have fun.
3. You have to wake up with friends and everything will be fine!
Mio is famous for the big-name artists who have performed within the club's walls at various times - what have you prepared for the club's birthday?
Tonight Joe Goddard from the band Hot Chip will perform for us; this man has long been playing his sets all over Europe, he is a classic already! That is why we decided to bring him.
Great, and does the club have any further plans? Tell us about it.
Yes, of course. In future we plan to open new chains.
So Mio might become a franchise brand?
Yes, but for now it is all in the works - we will see how life develops.
Are any star bookings expected in the near future?
Naturally, the club's line-up is full, though right now I cannot talk about it, it is a surprise, so keep an eye on our announcements.

and sincerely wishes the club prosperity and success!
