The music of the young yet already well-known audio-visual project Anthesteria, both in Russia and Europe, is fundamentally a journey of consciousness. In their debut album 'Beyond Nimbostratus,' it was an excursion through a ghost town, inspired by the mysterious and decadent Saint Petersburg. Their new album 'Небесная,' recently released on two labels (Der Angriff and Сирена), describes an immersion into a world of emotions and sensations familiar to each of us. In this work, ambient in the style of Raison D'Etre intertwines with neoclassicism and analog synthesizers, occasionally enhanced by vocal samples, 'martial' percussion, and ethnic motifs. The project also has a video titled 'I killed' and participation in the compilation 'Colours of Black: Russian Dark Scene Compilation.' The delicate melancholic music of Anthesteria is usually accompanied by a visual sequence, chosen with typically Petersburg detachment, taste, and elegance, enhancing the overall impression. Anthesteria has been actively performing since 2004 at well-known gothic and industrial festivals.
