Flow Dan is a grime MC from East London, known for his bright Jamaican accent. Flow Dan is one of the founders and long-time members of the most famous grime team Roll Deep, having transitioned from the legendary garage crew Pay As You Go Cartel, and is also a member of his own team Cemetary Warriors. He was recognized as the best MC/vocalist at the Dubstepforum Awards 2010.
Flow Dan began his career in the late 1990s as a jungle MC, later founding the grime team Roll Deep with Wiley, a kind of English answer to the American rap group Wu-Tang Clan. Flow Dan gained his first success in the charts as a guest MC on Lethal Bizzle's track "Pow! (Forward)", which reached number 11 in the UK national singles chart in 2004. Later, as a member of Roll Deep, he had hits like "Shake a Leg" and "The Avenue", which also made it into the top twenty, from the album "In at the Deep End", which sold over 85,000 copies (silver status). Flow Dan gained worldwide fame after working with the iconic electronic experimenter The Bug for the Ninja Tune label. In late 2009, his long-awaited debut solo album "Original Dan" was released on Wiley's Eskibeat label.
