Mikhail Teplyov, known as Ill Doggy, began his music career in 1997. In 1999, he released his first album Acidophil on his own label Doggy Records, blending techno rhythms with experimental and ambient sounds. After meeting renowned DJ and producer Anton Kubikov, they co-founded the project Multipliar in 2000. Two EPs followed on the Cologne label Trapez—"Deep Service Ep" and "Pixel Bells Ep"—both receiving high critical acclaim including in De:Bug magazine. In 2001, Ill Doggy released his solo EP "Funk Hole Ep" on the Berlin label Salo, showcasing an explosive fusion of funk and minimal techno-house. He subsequently became active in live performance, appearing at festivals and venues including Kazantip, Pwbt, Creamfields, Territory, City, Ryanda, Gaudi, Beach Club, Phlegmatic Dog, Apriori, Zone, and Plasticine. In 2004, Ill Doggy co-founded the collective Kmr Tribez with ambient producers Mikhail Chernyov and Igor Ivanov.
