Super Star Dj Keoki

Keoki is one of the first American DJs to achieve the status of a true pop star. In 1985, at just sixteen years old, Keoki came from his native El Salvador to conquer America. Very quickly, the young man became an integral part of New York's nightlife, trying himself out as a DJ in clubs. He first tried himself as a DJ at the famous Danceteria club. There he meets Michael Alig, creator of the freak-movement Club Kids. Together they launch a cycle of fantastically successful parties Disco 2000 at the legendary Limelight club. Later, the story of Club Kids became the basis for the screenplay of the cult film Party Monster, in which famous actor Macaulay Culkin played Michael. In 1996, Keoki begins collaboration with the leading American label Moonshine. In 1997, his single Caterpillar reaches the third place in the Billboard magazine hit parade, which inspires Keoki to write an entire album Ego Trip. At this moment, Keoki's popularity is so great that he even becomes the hero of one episode of the famous American animated series The Simpsons. In 2003, Keoki releases the mix Keokiclash on the new label Hypnotic Records and transitions from hard techno sound to ironic electro. In December 2006, the release of Keoki's third album is planned, created in collaboration with Alexander Technique (DJs Are Not Rockstars) and former bass guitarist of the cult band Bauhaus Daniel Ash. In parallel, Keoki is rehearsing the "live" program Sex Ferrari, the first in his eventful career.
