Theodor Zox

Theodor Zox is a 26-year-old electronic artist from Copenhagen. By profession, Theodor is a graphic designer. He has loved music since early childhood, when his father, who worked as a DJ in the 70s, played jazz, funk, disco, dub, and Kraftwerk for him. In 1994, Zox got his first computer and keyboard, and he immediately began musical experiments. Inspired by the music he listened to in childhood, Theodor initially composed melodic ambient, but in 1995 he attended the first drum and bass rave in Copenhagen and began producing broken rhythms and low-frequency basses – albeit in his own more relaxed and dreamy manner. That same year, Zox first heard minimalist Detroit techno on a local radio station and immediately realized he had found his musical direction. Zox then explored techno music, trying to uncover its secrets while continuing to create his own techno-infused version of d’n’b. Currently, Zox focuses on deep techno and minimalist house, combining harmony, unusual textures, and a dynamic rhythm in his music.
