Vince Watson
Великобритания
At just seven years old, Vince Watson was already playing keyboards. In school, he was passionate about hip-hop and experimental music (this was in the late 80s) and worked as a DJ at the school disco—he was the only one with records everyone wanted to hear. In the early 90s, Vince gradually began buying equipment to produce music independently, and in 1993 he graduated from Stow College in Glasgow with a degree in music technology. In 1995, he sent out his first demos to gauge record label owners' reactions. Exactly a week later, legendary techno producer Dave Angel (www.djdaveangel.co.uk) offered him a contract, and Watson's debut album was released on Rotation Records. In 2000, Vince founded his own label, Bio. Quality has always mattered more to Watson than quantity, so releases came out infrequently, but all were exceptionally good, and both the label and its owner gained an ever-growing fanbase among DJs and music enthusiasts. The artist's unique style—beautiful, atmospheric, emotional techno and tech-house—appeals to both listeners and producers: in 2005 Watson released a double EP on the legendary Detroit label Transmat. He has also released records on Amsterdam's Delsin and Laurent Garnier's F-Com.
