The phenomenon of this small but very fashionable label began when Wolfgang Vogt (Mike Ink.) spread rumors about the "sound of Cologne", about the emergence of a new sound that embodied all the best directions of techno music, about a new rhythm called schaffel. This was an excellent marketing move, but besides PR tricks, there were really talented musicians behind everything that was happening. Today, this sound has become a legend, a brand, a trademark, and simply a techno label in the face of Kompakt. Among other things, they own a large record store and are independent distributors of many little-known small labels.
