11 Years at Dombay

This year, the Dombai Snowboard Camp celebrates its eleventh anniversary since its founding in 1997.

Currently, the camp consists of five independent sites:

1. Regular park (Quicksilver Park), operating from April 2 to 13;
2. Jibbing site (Men's Health Rail Master), where a competition will be held on April 7, organized by Men's Health magazine with the support of the Dainese brand;
3. Snowboarding competition site (Nissan Battle of the Regions), organized by the magazine "Doski" with the support of the Nissan brand on April 8;
4. New school skiing competition site (Nissan NewSchool Contest), organized by the magazine "Vertical World" with the support of the Nissan brand on April 4;
5. Obstacle course (Nissan Onboard Shred The Line), where a contest will take place on April 5, organized by Onboard magazine with the support of the Nissan brand.

The last three competitions are part of the Nissan Pro Series.

During the camp, the Flammable Bar will be open, where every evening the favorite DJs of Flammable Beats and special guests will play, and on April 6, there will be a party by Time Out/Moscow. Admission is free.

On April 4, a contest opening the Flammable Pro Series - Nissan NewSchool Contest - will take place on a 15-meter jump next to the main park. The contest format is the spectacular skiing discipline Big Air Best Trick. NewSchool Day is an integral part of the Dombay camp program. The best NS riders from all regions of Russia will compete to determine who can be considered the FIRST in the air.

Qualifications begin at noon, and the top five winners will compete against five wild card holders. Ten finalists will compete for a prize fund of one thousand dollars. The competition will be organized and judged by distinguished NS judges of the country - Kirill Povarintsev and Alexey Ponomarev (twintip.ru→).

The announcement of results, awarding, and honoring of winners will take place in the evening at the foot of the mountain at an afterparty in the Flammable Bar, featuring DJs Mystic Bo (Berlin) and Chagin (Flammable Beats).

On April 5, the Nissan Onboard Shred The Line will take place - competitions on a line of small jumps and other unusual figures built with the support of Onboard magazine in the camp park.

Basic freestyle technique, board handling freedom, a creative approach to tricks execution, and other elements shaping the riding style regardless of the rotation amplitude will be evaluated primarily. That's the essence of shredding.

The event will be in jam-session format, with a prize fund of three thousand dollars. Fifteen people will be allowed to start.

Qualification will take place in free form several days before the competition. Onboard magazine and judges will observe riders on the shred line and daily award from one to five wild cards for participation in Shred The Line. A barbecue awaits all participants immediately after the contest at the Shred The Line park. In the evening, there will be an afterparty at Flammable Bar.

On April 8, the magazine "Doski" holds Nissan Battle of the Regions - unique annual team competitions among regions: Capital, North-West, South, Urals, Siberia, Far East. Teams consist of three people: a captain (pro rider) and two participants appointed personally by the captain. The contest will take place on a specially built pro jump. The competition format is a jam session. The best team attempt is counted based on the overall contest results.

The winning team will receive the main cash prize - three thousand dollars. After all events, an afterparty will be held at Flammable Bar featuring DJs of Flammable Beats.
