4hero Releases New Album

The incomparable British duo 4hero has announced the release of their new, fifth album titled "Play with the Changes" in February. This is their first album in six years and will showcase the creative work not only of the established partnership of Dego McFarlane and Marc Mac but also of numerous other musicians, each of whom made their contribution. Among them are: Ursula Rucker, Lady Alma, Jody Watley, as well as 4hero supporters in their love for broken beats Bembe Segue and Kaidi Tatham.
Founded in 1989, 4hero first garnered a storm of applause for their rave anthem "Mr. Kirk's Nightmare," and their label Reinforced served as a key force in the evolution from breakbeat hardcore to jungle and drum and bass. Since the late 90s, 4hero has focused on blending various forms of breakbeat with classic African-American soul, which resulted in a nomination for the Mercury Prize in 1998.
Now we can only wait and speculate on what 4hero's new creation will be, whose official release in North America Milan Records has scheduled for February.
