Alexei Gorobiy invites you to his Birthday Celebration

On the night of February 6-7, 2004, a jubilee of the legendary figure of the club world, Alexei Gorobiy, will take place. An unforgettable spectacle awaits you with special guests: Nicky Siano - the only official resident of the most scandalous club of all times and peoples, STUDIO 54. Nicky Siano - a pioneer of the dance scene, inspired by the careers of Grace Jones, DC la Rue, Loleatta Holloway, Larry Levan, and Frankie Knuckles. He began his career in 1971 and at the age of 17 opened his club, 'The Gallery'. As soon as Steve Rubell opened 'Studio 54,' he chose Nicky as one of the two residents. He also played in Le Jardin, Galaxy 21, The Limelight, and The Botel. Nicky was featured in the documentary film 'Maestro,' which tells the story of the emergence of the dance music industry. In Seattle, at the Experience Music Project Museum, an exhibition dedicated to dance music took place, and Nicky was honored with a commemorative plaque. The star of Nicky is rising again - behind the turntables, in the press, and on the screen. The closest guests in the VIP room will enjoy a performance by the band 'ZION TRAIN'. The musicians of Zion Train took their name from one of Bob Marley's songs. Formed in 1991, the group consists of Molar (vocals, percussion), Cod (melodica), Tench (live dub specialist on turntables), Hake (trumpet), and Forkbeard (trombone). Being true fans of acid dub and reggae, they have recorded seven albums to date: 'Passage to Indica,' 'Natural Wonders of The Word of Dub,' 'Siren,' 'Homegrown Fantazy,' 'Grow Together,' and 'Love Revolution.' Their latest album, 'Original Sounds of the Zion,' released in 2002, received the warmest reception in the music industry. In 2001, the musicians celebrated not only the tenth anniversary of their band but also the record label they founded, Universal Egg, which was initially created to promote Zion Train. Zion Train is a true treasure trove of the dub genre. Their compositions of the past five years sound just as relevant, interesting, and fresh. Lately, the musicians have been collaborating on joint projects with well-known dub-reggae performers such as Dredzone, The Shamen, Salt Tank, Sriral Tribe, and Dub Tribe.
