Ame to Record Fabric 42

Ame will record the next compilation from the Fabric series. The members of the Ame project, whose name translates from French as 'soul', have quickly risen from debutants to superstars. Christian Beier and Frank Wiedemann met due to their mutual passion for deep techno of Basic Channel and the works of Detroit masters. Christian Beier managed a record store in southern Germany, while Frank Wiedemann was involved in the broken-beat collective SoulFC. Ame's debut album became a bestseller for the Berlin label Sonar Collective, and the track 'Rej' was reissued by the heavyweight of the British house music - the Defected label. Their hypnotic music is multilayered, combining elements of Chicago house, classic techno, and vibrant German minimalism. 'Soul is the root of modern music, so we did not spend much time choosing the name for our project,' say Ame themselves. And indeed, you won't find more beautiful and soulful music elsewhere when desired.
