ANBB: Alva Noto & Blixa Bargeld in Moscow

On March 15, ANBB — the joint project of Blixa Bargeld from Einstürzende Neubauten and electronic artist Alva Noto, iconic German experimental musicians — will perform at Milk Club. ANBB is partly a continuation of the traditions of Einstürzende Neubauten and sounds merciless to an unprepared listener: electronics, industrial, noise, glitch, minimalism, clicks and cuts, spoken word — no critic has yet managed to compress the description of this complex creative chaos into even three or four definitions! The meeting of musical maniacs, the well-known performer Blixa Bargeld (the creator and ideologue of Einstürzende Neubauten, as well as the guitarist of the "golden" formation Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) and the creator of electronic music and producer Carsten Nikolai (known as Alva Noto) took place in San Francisco in 2007. In 2010, their first records saw the light: first the mini-album "Ret Marut Handshake", and in October the full-fledged album "Mimikry". The recording of the latter featured the muse of Salvador Dali, Countess Verushka Lendorf-Shteynort, whose vocals can be heard in several tracks; she is also captured in a completely unimaginable pose on the cover. The music consists of traditionally complex textures and sonic canvases from specialists on clanging rails, singing pipes, and musical baths, lyrical aggression where Blixa shifts from calm pleasant singing and melodic declamation to screams on the verge of hysteria, while the sonic fabric is saturated with clicks, cracks, and sounds of various colors.

On March 15 at "Milk," the best people from experimental music will give the first and only concert in Moscow. Don’t miss it!
