Anthony Pappa на "Hippie-party" в A priori
Клубные российские · 11.12.2003
A couple of weeks before the Christmas holidays in the midst of winter, A priori club will make its guests forget the cold, snowdrifts on the Moscow streets, and other attributes of this time of year for one night. Inside each of us, whether it's a manager of a large bank or a cover model, lives a little, but very real hippie. At the "Hippie-party," we invite you, just like the legendary generation of the 60s, to free yourself from the burdensome shackles and obligations of everyday life, inhale the aroma of flowers (where would a party dedicated to the children of flowers be without them?) and revel in the performance of the well-known DJ Anthony Pappa.
Anthony will introduce lovers of electronic music to his latest works in a friendly atmosphere and soft interior. Following a good tradition, A priori will change its design according to the "flower" theme and prepare a special dance program featuring hippie strippers.
The club opens at 12:00 AM.
Anthony Pappa's performance starts at 4:00 AM.

Anthony Pappa (UK)
At the "Hippie-party"
The name Anthony Pappa is associated with a remarkable story of a DJ's rise. A native of Melbourne, Australia, Anthony began spinning vinyl at the age of 15. Influenced by Sasha, Digweed, and Graeme Park, the talent of the budding DJ quickly developed, and soon he gained the support of his idols. In 1994, Pappa decided to participate in the worldwide mixing competition DMC World Mixing Championships in England. Anthony won and as a prize got to embark on a mini DJ tour of the UK, culminating in a performance at the Ministry of Sound. Anthony realized that his future was tied to England. At 21, he moved to this country, shortened his real surname Pappalardo to the creative alias "Pappa," and sent a demo tape to the Ministry Of Sound. Soon he returned to work at Stress, published in Mixmag Update. His reputation in the UK was built through tours across the country, and soon the major label "Renaissance" approached him with a contract offer. In recent years, Anthony has gained a reputation as one of the leading DJs in the world. He has performed in Singapore, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, and, unsurprisingly, Australia. His tour backed by "Renaissance" across America in the summer of 1999 was very successful. Anthony also established himself as a decent producer. He was behind the project Stress "Freefall." He produced masterpieces like "Shrug" and "Skydive." His remix of The Beloved's "Sun Rising" and reworking of "Offshore" with the classic vocal of Power Circle earned him acclaim. This legendary mix of two tracks became a true club phenomenon. One of Anthony's works reached the 4th position in the UK pop charts.
Five years later, Pappa achieved his goal: became a frequent guest of MOS, Renaissance, and all the other clubs in Britain. Moreover, Pappa played his twisted house sets in every club on Ibiza and, generally, in every decent club around the world.
