Apple has no relation to the invention of the iPod

Apple has confirmed that the iPod was invented long before its official release. In fact, British inventor Kane Kramer (who had no connection to Apple) drew up the first player design back in 1979. The invention was then known as the IXI. Unfortunately, Kane was unable to afford the £60,000 patent fee. As a result, a few years later, the innovative technology became public property, and in 1988, the newly minted iPod fell into the hands of Apple. Remarkably, Kramer envisioned the creation and sales schemes for digital music over 30 years ago, and also discussed technical means of protecting copyright and the possible growth of music piracy. It is worth noting that since Apple officially announced Kramer Kane's rights to the iPod invention, the British inventor has not received a penny from the American corporation. Not long ago, Kramer stated that he is working on a patented invention that will be much better than the iPod. "It's awful, I can't even go and buy an iPod... Apple once gave me one, but it broke after eight months..." - sadly recounts Kane. Based on materials from The Daily Mail→
