Address of the NEО club: Varshavskoye shosse d.27 Gathering of guests at 23:00 Participants: Doorkeeper, Fish, Spirit, Lavsky (St. Petersburg), Feel, Kompas Vrubel, Cosmo, afterparty DJ Kiriloff. Rocco Haase, or Doorkeeper, has been an active member of the techno movement since he first organized a Techno Party in 1992. He worked as a tailor in the very first techno club in Dresden. But after his first gig as a DJ at the Fabrik club in Dresden, he quit his job as a tailor. The club owner was so impressed by his playing that he offered him gigs in 1993. And that was just the beginning. This was followed by his appearances as a guest at Base 1 (Dresden), Deelite Eastside Rave (Leipzig) and Reaktor Party`s (Dresden). In 1994, as Rocco's record collection grew, so did the number of clubs inviting Doorkeeper as the leading DJ. Such performances included the Gay Nights series at Downtown (Dresden), where Rocco dedicated an important place to House Music. A year later, he returned to a more intense music style and participated at Base 2 (in Dresden) and performed outside Germany for the first time at Radost (Prague). Rocco works as both a manager and event organizer (at Base 2 before it closed). The following year was a turning point in Doorkeeper's career. The year began with a tour in San Francisco and its surroundings. This was followed by his performances at May Day (The Sonic Empire), Dr. Motte's official Love Parade Opening (Licht & Liebe), No Ufo's (Hangar, Berlin) and at the New Year Party with B(P)itch Control (Berlin). Rocco continues to combine his DJ activities with promoter work. In 1998, he became a founder and member of the professional team UFO. But he still finds time to spin records. The event series attracted DJs such as Ellen Alien, Tom Clark, Heiko Laux, WestBam, and the unique Mijk von Dijk (Midi-Hardware) and Doorkeeper (Turntables), playing a distinctive Live Jam. In 1999, after Doorkeeper returned to his hometown, his name could be found among the participants of almost all summer festivals and open-air parties. His participation in such events had a positive impact on his DJ career, leading him to Berlin where he decided to stay in 2000. In Berlin, Rocco continued where he left off the previous year - numerous gigs, followed by an invitation to Matrix (Berlin). Along with Stereo Jack, he released his first record with the Superstition label. He also took part in the project No Historical Backspin initiated by techno musicians, labels, and booking agencies, aimed against fascism and intolerance. Rocco organized and planned a tour in ten cities and even found the time to visit Moscow, where he made his debut as a club and radio DJ. In the summer of 2001, Doorkeeper recorded his second album together with Stereo Jack again. Superstition released the record, and the duo went on a small promo tour with stops at Magic Gate (Hennigsdorf), Phonodrome (Hamburg), and of course, Alter Schlachthof (Dresden). During the tour, Doorkeeper was introduced to DJs Holgi Star and Emmerson from kiddaz.fm. Soon it became clear to them: since they had similar musical tastes, why not work together? The result of their collaboration was the exclusive project kiddaz.fm Keep it Stereo. In early 2002, Rocco returned to Dresden to his event organizer work but continued to regularly travel to Berlin. He also performed at clubs such as Aquapolis (Osijek), Gorod (Moscow), and Tresor (Berlin). In March, the first album of the Keep it Stereo project with A24 EP was released. Tom Wax patented one of the tracks for his Mix-CD My Favorite Tools. In 2002, he participated in the Liberty One and Kazantip festivals on the Crimean coast. Doorkeeper became the first German DJ to take part in the Kazantip festival.
