Holgi Star belongs to that part of the Berlin techno movement radicals who opened the first clubs in Germany. One of them is the legendary "Planet of Tresor".
Star is a multifaceted personality: he worked for the first German techno magazine "Frontpage", for which he, along with Armin Mostoffi, organized exclusive techno tours and founded the booking agency "Timing Booking". After the collapse of the magazine "Frontpage", he began to implement his own musical ideas and laid a new foundation. The start of his career as a DJ focused on "breakbeat" in the early 2000s at the "Dangerous Drums" parties effectively conceived the record label "Timing".
Together with DJ Emerson, he founded the label "kiddaz.fm" in 1999 to create a new, refined foundation of techno. Meanwhile, "kiddaz.fm" is becoming an increasingly influential label with its own distinctive features and operations, gaining positions on the international techno scene.
Holgi Star has already proven his international status as a producer and DJ who makes remixes. He was a participant in the "New Church of Moneymakers" - a project that surprised even the magazine "De:Bug", well known for its criticism, with its release "Chapter 3 - Live". Additionally, he is in demand as a solo artist, recording his releases with "Nerven Records", with DJ Marco Remus's label, which shows promise in the "eastside techno" direction, and, of course, with the label "kiddaz.fm". Holgi Star never tires of searching for new young talent.
One of his best dance hits is likely the remix of a song by some Schulemburg "Shake your Hips", which he created in collaboration with label producer J. Breaker. You can find it on numerous compilations, both national and international. After Takkyu Ishino included "Shake your Hips" in his annual list of most popular records in 2001, demand for records from label "kiddaz.fm" arose in Japan.
