ATFC at the Light Reflection Party in Jet Set

Aydin Hasirci, known as ATFC (Aydin The Funky Chile) – a superstar of the club scene. With three hits in the UK TOP 40, a dozen hits in club charts and remixes – he is the hope of British club music. He is compared to masters such as Frankie Knuckles, StoneBridge, Todd Terry, and Roger Sanchez.

However, despite his reputation as a producer and author, Aydin is primarily a DJ. Fifteen years of experience behind the turntables. Aydin started at the age of sixteen organizing parties in his neighborhood, playing hip-hop, jazz, soul, and funk. These parties led him to London’s Rock Garden and Crazy Larry clubs.

In 1994, Aydin "got hooked" on soul house and garage house (vocal house). He became a resident at Bump `n Hustle and The Gardening Club (Bournemouth). Then in 1997, he joined Uptown Records. That same year at his studio Onephatdeeva, he produced the first hit for DEFECTED “IN and OUT OF My Life” with vocals by Adeva and samples from Norman Cook (FatBoy Slim).

At that time, he joined the DEFECTED DJ team with resident performances at Ministry of Sound, Garage City, The Cross, and Code. As a guest, he played at Pacha London, The Cross, Zap Brighton, D-Club Switzerland, Torres de Avilla Barcelona, Twisted Vienna, Import Warsaw, and Club Milk Belfast. Moreover, The Lab Rats (Aydin & Warren Clarke).

A year later, he presented his second single Bad Habit at a conference in Miami. The track entered the permanent playlist of the legendary Tony Humphries and a month later broke into the top twenty best singles in the UK. At the same time, he organized the project The Lab Rats together with Warren Clarke and released 'Music is my Life' on Soulfuric Records and 'Feel the Need' on Arista.

Orders for remixes poured in from all sides. Moby, Bootsy Collins, All Saints, Agent Sumo, Dina Carroll, Phillip Bailey, Samantha Mumba, The Lightening Seeds, Safri Duo, Junior Jack – just a few names that have a remix from ATFC.
