Audio-visual collage by Ace Norton
Музыкальные зарубежные · 29.01.2009
Young talented director, member of the progressive video community Partizan, and just a nice funny guy Ace Norton directed a new work, Soundscapes, for one of the well-known music portals.
The idea of the commercial is that three people walk with a large microphone through three different cities - Berlin, Amsterdam, and Los Angeles - and record the sounds of nature and the streets. The result is a meaningless but pleasant audio-visual collage.
A few interesting facts about Ace Norton:
He spent his carefree childhood on the southern coast of California in the city of Venice. Born into a family of a director father and a screenwriter grandfather, the boy was destined to work with video. At the age of 10, he was given his first camera, on which the eccentric Ace filmed all his toy bears, monkeys, cobras, piranhas, and huge lizards that filled his bedroom, which looked more like a jungle. By the end of his school years, Ace's amateur portfolio consisted of about 200 short films. He then entered a prestigious film school, founded the group Commondeer Films with friends, with an office still in the same crazy room, and started shooting music videos for bands from Los Angeles. The last four years have been marked by the collaboration of the young man with the well-known international community of directors and filmmakers, Partizan. In this capacity, Ace Norton has managed to release several successful video works for music groups and even major companies, such as Honda and MacDonalds.
