Chris Cunningham's Audiovisual Show in the UK

British video artist Chris Cunningham, known for his collaborations with many contemporary music projects, will present his new audiovisual show in the UK this week. On April 22, he will perform at the Manchester Opera House, followed by an appearance at the Royal Festival Hall in London on April 23 as part of the Ether festival. Cunningham will be supported by his colleagues Beak>, Lonelady, Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher DJ set), and Jackson in different cities. Currently, Cunningham is working on some 'quite unusual,' as he comments, material that will soon be released on the Warp Records label. He highlights the influence on his work from audio-visual artists such as Tomita, Vangelis, and Kraftwerk. The artist also notes his increased musical activity recently, including his participation in the recording of The Horrors' recent album 'Primary Colours.' Among his previous achievements, Cunningham's portfolio includes the legendary music videos for Aphex Twin's 'Come To Daddy,' Bjork's 'All Is Love' (part of the MoMA collection in New York), Madonna's 'Frozen,' works for Portishead, Autechre, the experimental film 'Rubber Johnny' (with a soundtrack by Aphex Twin), a commercial for Gucci, and installations for several museums and galleries.
