Autechre releases new record

English electronic duo Autechre have announced the completion of work on their ninth album Quaristice, which will be released on March 3 on the cult label Warp, famous for its releases in the field of electronic experimental music. The new record from the Manchester duo of Sean Booth and Rob Brown is a follow-up to their previous 2005 LP Untilted. The disc will contain 20 new tracks. In support of the new album, the band will be performing a mini tour of the UK in February and March. The tour schedule includes the following cities: London, New Castle, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.
It also became known that Autechre’s side-project Gescom recently recorded a new EP, which has already been released on Skam Records. The recording is available on 2x12 vinyl and CD. In addition, it can be downloaded from the websitewww.bleep.com→in MP3 or lossless in FLAC format.
Autechre has been releasing music since the early '90s and is one of the most respected IDM acts, along with artists such as Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada and Plaid. Judging by these tracks, the guys remained true to their sound and style.
