Avant Disco Night with Jamie Lidell

On May 14th, at the cinema club 35MM (Pokrovka, 47), the Avant Disco Night party will take place featuring the trendiest artist of the famous label WARP Records - Jamie Lidell! It has long been said that authentic, live disco from the seventies is a new super fashionable trend in music, but it never went beyond just talk. Lidell's new album 'Multiply' is the first sign of this trend. The seventies are back in style, and Lidell has captured it remarkably well with lively jazz grooves, fat basslines, cheerful brass, beach relaxation vibes, and infectious funk. Formerly a member of the Super Collider project (along with Christian Vogel), Lidell is now at the top tier of electronic music: in May-June, Lidell will be presenting his new album in various European countries (alongside stars like François Kevorkian, Miss Kittin, Tortoise), performing in June at the Sonar festival in Barcelona. However, we will have the chance to see and hear his spectacular show even sooner. Jamie's live performances are a unique spectacle with a growing reputation across Europe: on stage, against a backdrop of crazy visuals, barricades of electronic equipment, amplifiers, percussion are formed, and above this digital city, a storm of confetti and streamers erupts! The rest of the program is curated in the eternally youthful disco-funk style: the glamorous Earl Gray Smokers, the energetic girls from St. Petersburg Pep-See will perform at the party, along with DJs Rob Dirton, Bo, and Rasskazov (Downtown).
