Autoerection

From November 2 to 16, the exhibition of illustrators 'Autoerection' will take place at the Cult club. The main visible theme of contemporary artists is social reflection: experiencing, understanding, and reacting to processes happening in society. The theme of the inner world of a person—relationships with reality, fears, dreams—remains unnoticed. Artists presented at the exhibition work in this area. Asquet experiments with styles and means of expressing their perception of the world. Very metaphorical and narrative works depict urban solitude, inner struggles, and pain. Quite angry drawings with a dry, precise, and very stylish presentation. Blindfish creates cold, light, elegant, intellectual collages with a fair amount of sarcasm. Characters vanish in watercolor streaks, animals merge with mechanisms, dialogues emerge in appliqués. Dirt and longing for beauty, sexual deviations and the ideal of a family. Mike Che, the only one with an art education among the three, which has left an imprint on all his works, some of which can be called academic. Mike's painting is research. Self-exploration, plasticity, color, character. 'What does Van Gogh's ear taste like?'—this question troubles the artist. His paintings are his friends and conversationalists; they won't leave him alone. Mike tries himself in various techniques with an invariably interesting writing style. But no melancholy! Gracefulness, vivid metaphors, and expressiveness—this is what to expect from the exhibition.
