Baraka. In Memory of Muslimgauze

The Union "Unison" presents the annual conceptual festival of experimental music Baraka. Muslimgauze: memory party is an annual festival that gathers the most interesting and advanced musicians in the genre of experimental electronic music, as well as poets, video artists, and dancers on its stage. Artistic expression is the weapon of choice: music, dance, video art, literature. All manifestations of love or compassionate awareness, not hatred or militant attitude... Such a cultural gathering serves as a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, where one can explore each other’s worlds and exchange creative experiences. In 2006, the festival transforms into a new conceptual music project Baraka, where electronic music will not be the only focus, but will also include a lecture, video installation, exhibition, and ethnic decor.

Research Baraka - a synonym for the Russian word "grace," in the tradition of the Sufi Path. Sufism is the teaching that inner experience is not just a sphere of life, but life itself. A Sufi means "love." Sufism is a way of life and, according to its followers, the essence and reality of all religions and philosophical teachings. It leads to the completion of the human being through the establishment of the institute of apprenticeship, meditation, and practice. It leads to the full development of mental, physical, and metaphysical capabilities of man. At a higher level, Sufis are connected to each other by Baraka (grace, mercy, strength, sanctity), and their interaction with this power in various ways influences their lives. Wisdom and fulfillment, according to Sufis, has nothing to do with intellectualism, scholasticism, etc., which are merely instruments. The path teaches what the limit of using these instruments is, as well as how to unite action with fate.

This year, the festival will feature groups F.r.u.i.t.s., Idioritmic (Volga), Spice boys, Nato, Robots, Strtropharia+Colodec, Nill 62, Karibasy, Daman, Kamal Balan, Biosynthesis, Svyatoslav Panamarev, Wave Shapes, as well as special guests from Norway - Biosphere.
