Belgian Prinz in Winter

Over the past eight years, DJ Prinz has shaped the concept of "house music" in the Belgian dance scene. Not due to a flamboyant image or eccentric behavior, but because of the positive energy and music style he embodies: garage, deep, and funky house. His colorful appearances and constant search for innovations in house music have contributed to his popularity not only in his home country of Belgium but far beyond its borders. As a resident of the refined Cafe d’ Anvers in his hometown Antwerp and the ultra-fashionable Supperclub in Amsterdam, DJ Prinz effectively creates music for various labels, including Lum Records. His tracks have been included in compilations from Supperclub and Cafe d’ Anvers, and each of his new works is closely monitored by professionals. For instance, his fourth single “My Sound,” released on the Belgian label “La Belle Noir,” remained the "number one" for a year in the esteemed charts of Amnesia club (Ibiza). DJ Prinz began his career in 1995 in small Belgian clubs and private parties. His first residency in 1997 was a regular participation in the scandalous “Cruises to Pleasure” parties held twice a month in Antwerp thanks to participation from international clubs and labels.
As soon as DJ Prinz began his "DJ marathon" - he was destined to never stop ..., from 1997 to 2003 his sets could be heard not only in Belgium. 1998 - La Rocca New Years Rave – 25,000 people, 1999-2000 – participation in “the Liquid Power Tour” where he performed alongside the famous “Masters at Work,” 1999 – Club Reve d’O (Geneva), 2000 - Queen (Paris), 2000-2001 KM5 & Amnesia & Space (Ibiza), 2002 - Raveparty (Montreal), Park Club & Dayafter (Porto), Ministry (Amsterdam). Collaborative sets with DJ Sneak, Armand van Helden, Roger S, Bob Sinclair, DJ Deep.
Since 2000, DJ PRINZ began working “on the other side of the barricades” - and as a promoter has achieved equal success at Buttlerfly Records (BE) and especially at LUM Recordings. In 2001, PRINZ created the first successful LOUNGE project in Belgium – BAR ROOM. This not only allowed him to share turntables with numerous “stars” of the house scene but also to share his positive energy with an even larger number of fans.
Incredible popularity in Belgium and a constant quest for new sounds naturally led to the emergence of DJ PRINZ's own residencies. His Thursdays called “7 HOURS” and Fridays “FREE VIBES” are loved by regulars for their constant surprises. Here, one can meet first-rate DJs, newcomers – experimenters, and of course DJ PRINZ behind the turntables.
Regarding his performances in Russia, Germany, Portugal, Israel, Spain, and France, DJ PRINZ says: “... I want people to understand that Belgians are not just 'quiet lovers of chocolate,' among them are artists capable of turning any club inside out and making everyone have a great time!”
