Клубные зарубежные · 23.12.2008
The tenth international electronic music festival Club Transmediale will take place in Berlin from January 22 to 31. The event will open with a special screening of Wolfgang Voigt's multimedia project Gas, which we wrote about earlier, at the 'People's Theater' in Rosa Luxemburg Square (Volksbuhne Am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz).
Next, the festival will move to the club Maria, where DJs and musicians representing various directions from disco to dubstep will perform for nine nights.
Performances will include sets by: Mujava, Lindstrom, The Emperor Machine, Benjamin Brunn, Thomas Fehlmann, Fuck Buttons, Prins Thomas, Tim Exile, Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, Mathias Kaden, Touane, Anja Schneider. For the first time, collaborative live performances will be played by Henrik Schwarz and Jesse Rose (as Black Rose), as well as Oliver $ and Zombie Disco Squad.
The closing of the Club Transmediale festival will also be marked at the iconic venue for electronic music fans, Berghain, housed in an abandoned electrical equipment factory. The party will be held with the assistance of the organizers of the Canadian Mutek festival as both events celebrate their tenth anniversary. At the DJ booth, Canadians Vincent Lemieux and Mike Shannon will meet representatives of the Berlin techno scene Cassy and Tobias Freund.
All information about the cost and full lineup of the festival can be found on its official website www.clubtransmediale.de→.
