Black Sun Empire in Gorod

Ozzo Promo presents on October 29 at the 'Gorod' club, Black Sun Empire (BSE) - a trio based in the Dutch city of Utrecht. Rene Verdult, Milan Heyboer, and his younger brother Micha made their first joint recordings back in 1993. They define the style of their early music as techno and breakbeat. As a result of experiments with different musical directions, the guys came to drum’n’bass, and in 1997 the group Black Sun Empire was formed. Following a successful debut on Dutch labels Piruh and A New Dawn, the guys set out to conquer the UK in 1999. And they succeeded wholeheartedly! After a release on the well-known English label Dsci4, BSE's career took off: the hottest stars of the drum’n’bass scene began using BSE tracks in their mixes. The resonance from BSE's tracks was so great that they decided to open their own label, Black Sun Empire, the first release of which came out in October 2002. This label releases the group's own creations as well as those of giants like Noisia, Concord Dawn, Corrupt Souls, Optiv, and Skynet.
In March 2004, BSE released their first album 'Driving Insane', which subsequently became the fastest-selling in the history of Nu Urban Musix Distribution. Later, Black Sun Empire opened their second label oBSEssions for the most progressive sounds, featuring releases from Noisia, Kemal, Corrupt Souls, Chris Su, SKC, Sinthetix, and Desimal.
The year 2005 marked a series of performances for BSE at numerous parties across Europe and America, as well as the release of a new album 'Cruel & Unusual' and the eponymous world tour. Collaborations with leading artists in the scene and the release of tracks on renowned labels Renegade Hardware, Penetration, DSCI4, Transparent make Black Sun Empire one of the most successful and promising groups in the drum’n’bass scene. At the performance in Moscow on October 29, Black Sun Empire will be represented by Rene Verdult.
