"Body Language Six" от Junior Boys

The German label Get Physical invited Canadians Jeremy Greenspan and Matthew Didemus, members of the duo Junior Boys, to create the sixth compilation of the Body Language series. Prior to Junior Boys, Body Language mixes were recorded by M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T., Jesse Rose, Dixon, and Château Flight.

Matt and Jeremy selected and mixed tracks for Body Language Six while working on their third studio album. The mix reflects the full spectrum of Junior Boys' musical interests while not yielding in originality and quality of track selection compared to previous Body Language compilations.

At first glance, this wide variety of styles could easily turn the mix into a sort of musical salad, but remarkably, the compositions merge into a whole—there's nothing excessive.

The Junior Boys' approach to track selection can rightfully be called unconventional. Orchestral parts in Kelley Polar's 'Rosenband,' funky motifs in Gui.tar's 'Love Started To Shine,' quite unconventional synth-pop by Matthew Dear, and old-school disco by Visage in the spirit of the good old '80s. For dessert—an exclusive composition from Junior Boys themselves, 'No Kinda Man,' subtle and appealing in its simplicity.

The release date on the Moscow label Algorythmik is set for March 10.
