BT Digital Music Awards 2007

BT Digital Music Awards is the only award dedicated entirely to electronic music in the UK. The awards nominate musicians whose work has attracted the most attention from the online community. The Digital Music Awards are given based on the votes of a jury as well as Internet users, assessing artists' activity in the use of digital technologies comprehensively - including the interactivity of the website and conducting various online campaigns. This event has a considerable audience reach. Throughout September, voting is conducted on the official website in various categories ranging from the best pop performer to the best online music store. This year, the following individuals are nominated in the electronic artist category: Calvin Harris, Cinematic Orchestra, Hadouken!, Just Jack, The Chemical Brothers. You can vote through the website www.btdma.com until September 30th. The ceremony for the BT Digital Music Awards07 will take place on October 2nd. The venue is not disclosed yet, but as usual, it will be something non-trivial and grandiose. For example, in 2004, the venue was the BT Tower, and the ceremony was hosted by Chuck D - a member of the iconic hip-hop group Public Enemy. In 2005, the event was hosted by Alex Zane on the roof of London's millbank, followed by an after-party at The End club with Herbaliser on the turntables. Therefore, it's safe to say that this year, BT organizers will put on a great show that, by the way, will be broadcasted on Channel 4 and online.
