Creamfields Begins at XIII

XIII proudly presents the legendary British DJ, one of the founding fathers of the popular progressive house style, John Digweed. He will perform at XIII at the official pre-party of the Creamfields Russia festival, which will take place the next day in the "Hermitage" garden.
John Digweed is a key figure in the world of contemporary dance music. In fact, he is one of the pioneers of the progressive style. His works for the Renaissance label and the Northern Exposure series albums have sold in phenomenal, unmatched numbers to this day, and undoubtedly belong to the golden fund of dance music. His track For What You Dream Of made it onto the soundtrack of the cult film Trainspotting and became the unofficial anthem of the 90s clubbers. His residency at the famous Twilo club in New York and a series of brilliant performances in Ibiza led major magazines like MixMag, DJ Magazine, and Muzik to name him the best DJ on the planet for many years.
The label Bedrock founded by Digweed is home to such celebrities as James Zabelia, Jimmy Van M, and Luke Fair.
John Digweed is a cult figure for the Moscow club audience. His album Northern Exposure in 1997 opened the progressive style for Russia, and since then, Digweed's performances in Moscow have become a must-see for all representatives of the "first wave" of city clubbers. Last year, his set at the Bedrock festival gathered about seven thousand (!) people.
The upcoming performance of John Digweed at XIII is quite unique. For the first time in many years, accustomed to stadium venues, the DJ will play in a small club for a select audience.
John Digweed's set at XIII kickstarts Creamfields Russia, which will take place on September 17 in the "Hermitage" garden. Besides Digweed, legendary DJs and musicians including Audio Bullys, Pete Tong, Infusion, X-Press 2, Futureshock, Circulation, and many others will participate in the festival.
The official after party of Creamfields Russia will also take place at XIII on the night of September 17, 2005.
