At the beginning of the last century in the flourishing Santiago de Cuba lived Don Facundo Bacardi, the creator of Bacardi rum – a drink that is now the most popular strong alcohol in the world. However, his name was widely known among the social elite and glamorous establishment far beyond Cuba even 100 years ago. Don Facundo earned such popularity among his contemporaries thanks to extravagant, luxurious, and lively parties held in his hospitable house. They could last for weeks and gathered the best representatives of high society from all over the world. Bacardi House was particularly popular among young American bon vivants. Due to the prohibition in the US, they eagerly flew to Cuba at Don Facundo's invitation to spend a few days or just one night of exquisite hedonism in his house. It goes without saying that during such times, Bacardi rum flowed abundantly in the house, and laughter and loud music never ceased around the clock. The rum created by Don Facundo absorbed the atmosphere of the extravagant revelry of those times and has been associated with lively parties and fun ever since. Continuing Don Facundo's good tradition, the Bacardi brand organizes Bacardi Legacy themed parties worldwide to this day. One of them will take place on Friday, October 14th in Moscow. Specifically for this event, bartenders from London, DJs from New York, decorations from Budapest, and a unique atmosphere straight from Cuba will arrive in Moscow. To preserve historical authenticity, the party will be held in a mansion steeped in history, renovated and furnished especially for this night when it will become Bacardi House, open to the best representatives of Moscow's social elite. The musical policy will be curated by 63-year-old DJ David Mancuso, a pioneer of the club scene who has been promoting the concept of 'house parties' in clubs for 30 years. His iconic New York club Loft has been the prototype for thousands of clubs worldwide. No one understands better than David how to create an atmosphere of openness and fun at a party. Joining Mancuso will be his protégé DJ Cosmo – one of the world's best female DJs. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the superstar DJ trio X-Press 2. These London guys skillfully play house hits from three pairs of turntables simultaneously, actively using a sampler and microphone. X-Press 2's brilliant career includes collaborations with David Byrne – their joint track 'Lazy' rocked dance floors and charts in 2002, and with Dieter Meier – the leader of Yellow. Their expertise will undoubtedly light up this Bacardi Legacy night. The bar, which is the main spot in House Bacardi, will of course be free, and the cocktails will be mixed by the best bartenders from London. Entrance to the party will be by guest list and invitation only.
