On September 12 and 13, Moscow will host the loudest and largest event in the history of Russian skateboarding! DC presents a new concept of skate competitions - DC Sky Wars! 40 participants from all over Russia will compete in several stages to reach the final, which will be held in a skate park specially built for DC Sky Wars under the city skies of Moscow, sharing a prize fund of 120,000 rubles. The organizers have announced the spots. Moving from one to another will be easy, as they are all located in the VVC territory. These include steps at the 8th pavilion, railings at the end of the 57th pavilion, and a spot behind the Golden Spike. For those who cannot participate in the selection from board shops, one of Russia's top riders, Mikhail Poponin, in collaboration with DC, will provide an opportunity to qualify through an internet contest. The final will feature the top 15 skateboarders, with only invited spectators able to attend. Internet actions will be organized for them, with one of the prizes being "tickets to the clouds". DC Sky Wars will conclude with a party in the best DC traditions, featuring a video demonstration edited two days before the competition. The jury of DC Sky Wars will include 6 foreign skateboarding stars: Ruben Garcia - team manager of the European DC team, Antony Lopez - a 25-year-old skateboarder from the skateboarding capital Barcelona, Henning Braaten - a Norwegian skateboarder from Oslo, Jani Laitiala - originally from Finland but now living in the USA, Jody Smith - an English skateboarder, and Manuel Margreiter - one of the best skateboarders from Austria. The event will be covered not only by Russian media but also by international press.
