Dave Pearce and Eddie Halliwell ousted from Radio 1

During the latest shake-up at the club radio station Radio 1, Dave Pearce and Eddie Halliwell were asked to vacate the studio. Dave, not very upset, said: "It's been an amazing 13 years for me at Radio 1. But it's time for a change, and I have some innovative ideas for new radio shows, which you will hear about soon." Meanwhile, Dave's colleague Eddie stated that it was his decision to leave the radio station: "I have ended my career at Radio 1 to fully concentrate on the most important thing in my life - DJing. Initially, the offer to host my own radio show seemed impossible due to a busy touring schedule, but by finding a compromise - broadcasting programs from Manchester - we decided to give it a try. As the popularity of my show grew, so did the demands of the radio station. They asked me to broadcast DJ sets from London. I found myself in a very difficult position due to the heavy workload, which led to the decision to leave this business.
