In September of last year, after a long break, the club 'Gorod' reopened. Starting in December 2000 in former factory shops on Shmitovsky passage, the club gained a reputation as one of the country's main dance establishments over the years. The creators of 'Gorod' introduced Russia to renowned foreign techno DJs and musicians (Laurent Garnier, Sven Väth, Miss Kittin, FutureShock, Emerson, Slam, Chus...); the club hosted tours of the MayDay festival and the prestigious German label Trezor - Trezor Nights. Maintaining a focus on techno music, the 'Gorod' promoters delighted the audience with excellent performances by current musicians such as Richie Hawtin, Alexander Kowalski & Double X, Jack de Marseille, Meat Katie, Low End Specialists, The Timewriter, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Hardfloor, Oxia, Electric Indigo, and many others throughout the year. On October 8, 2005, 'Gorod' will celebrate its anniversary at a new location. Andreas' new life began in the 90s when his first demo recording ended up in the hands of DJ Sven Väth at a party in Hamburg. Sven soon signed a contract with Andreas and his Der Dritte Raum project to release a series of records on his legendary Harthouse label. Andreas delivered: the vinyls Alienoid, Mentalmodulator, and especially Wellenbad in 1996 received praise from the authoritative British tabloid Muzik: 'This is excellent music for the night.' In the 21st century, Der Dritte Raum only confirmed their reputation as a brilliant electronic project: in 2003, the album Klubraum was released. 'For me, this is the natural development of creativity over the past ten years,' describes Andreas Krueger about the album. 'Although I love classical synthesizer sounds, technology does not stand still, so I am constantly learning something new. The Klubraum album was released more intricate, there is a lot to listen to.' Although Krueger handles all the studio work of the collective, Der Dritte Raum has been touring in a live-show format since 1993: along with Andreas, multi-musician Ralph Ürlan...
