David Lynch to Open a Series of Cinema Parties at XIII

XIII presents Cinema Party – a new series of parties inspired by the works of great filmmakers. The first series of Cinema Party is dedicated to the works of David Lynch, the author of visionary films Lost Highway, Malholand Drive, Twin Peaks, and Blue Velvet. The special guest of the evening is Kittie Klaw (UK) with the program Walk On The Wild Side. Kittie Klaw is a character straight out of Lynch's imagination; an actress, dancer, photo model, and pin-up girl, who unexpectedly discovered her paranormal abilities. In Europe, she is referred to as the "Scottish Dita Von Teese," and today she is the most popular actress in the "dark burlesque" genre. Kittie Klaw’s mystical shows enjoy unchanging success far beyond the UK. Just like her predictions for the future, which she generously shares with the readers of Bizarre Magazine. Kittie herself claims that her paranormal abilities were revealed in early childhood, but she kept her gift a secret from everyone at that time. During the day, she was a model child (back then she was still called Kristi Lucinda Allan), attending classes at the children's school of the Scottish Ballet Company, while at night she studied books on the history of religion and psychology. Add to this Kristi's striking beauty (she began her modeling career at the age of 11), and you’ll understand why she was considered a very unusual teenager. At eighteen, Kristi already knew exactly what she wanted to do in life. Disregarding her teachers' advice, she abandoned "serious ballet" and chose a career as a model and cabaret actress. She often posed for fetish magazines and performed original acts in the style of dark burlesque in European clubs, all while attending psychology lectures at the University of Glasgow. In her professional endeavors, she tried to imitate her idol - the famous pin-up girl Betty Page, a fashion icon of the 50s. Her stage name is a combination of Kristi's name, Betty's name, and the surname of the cult American fetish photographer Irwin Klaw, also known as the "King of Pin-up." Kittie is one of the founders of the Ministry of Burlesque - a movement that unites British stars of this cutting-edge genre. Located in the elite London district of Mayfair, the "Ministry" collaborates with major British clubs that promote pin-up and fetish aesthetics, such as the Torture Garden, The Whoopee Club, and Flash Monkey's Burlesque Bazaar. In Moscow, Kittie Klaw performs for the first time, introducing the guests of XIII to the new aesthetics of dark burlesque. Her shocking show Walk On The Wild Side is in the best traditions of David Lynch's mystical films and is aimed at a prepared audience.
