Dj 3000 at Helga's Birthday

On October 9th, at a party at the DJ café Mio to celebrate DJ Helga's birthday, a guest from Detroit - DJ 3000, whose real name is Frank Juncaj, will perform.

DJ 3000 remains one of the few non-African American musicians and DJs who have become full-fledged members of techno clans - Underground Resistance and Submerge. He discovered the world of techno in the late 80s, when Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson were making history in contemporary electronic music, which became the meaning of the young DJ's life.

Over time, his record collection grew, his DJing experience gradually rose to a higher level, and as a result, he had more performances. He was noticed in the Submerge formation. Mike Banks (one of the ideological leaders of Underground Resistance) helped Frank choose a pseudonym and find an individual style.

DJ 3000 created his own label Motech, one of its main directions being a powerful fusion of Detroit techno and ethnic music of Eastern Europe. Almost immediately, the label gained recognition from electronic music enthusiasts from different countries around the world.

DJ 3000 has about 25 releases on Electrofunk, Submerge, Underground Gallery, Mute, or Nublu Recordings. The musician's personal weapon is known to be a mix of three vinyl turntables.
