DJ Sasha to Perform in Moscow

The company Underground Sound of Moscow is in talks with DJ Sasha about a performance in Moscow in the fall of 2008. The exact dates are yet to be determined; ideally, we will hear the renowned DJ in September, or at worst in December. The venue remains unchanged - Arma 17. Sasha started working at Renaissance, where two very important things happened: he recorded the first mix album in English history, the entire edition of which (100,000 copies) was sold out in a week, and he met John Digweed, with whom he released the compilation 'Northern Exposure,' the first of the famous trilogy of double albums. With a tour to support 'Northern Exposure,' DJ Sasha and Digweed traveled to all 5 continents. By 1991, DJ Sasha, the renowned English DJ, had become the first person in England to start playing Progressive-House. His schedule was almost full, and new offers from America were very much welcome. In 1996, Florida, Orlando, San Francisco, and Dallas were included in his tour to support Northern Exposure. In April 1997, together with John Digweed and Jimmy Van M, DJ Sasha became a resident at TWIL0, the most famous American club located in Manhattan. In June 1997, the American label Ultra Records took notice of DJ Sasha and John Digweed and released the first CD of Northern Exposure. In January 1998, as DJ Sasha's sets in NYC gained tremendous popularity, Ultra Records released the second edition of Northern Exposure. However, DJ Sasha, already recognized as one of the best DJs in the world, decided to focus on producing music and, being truly talented, quickly became a respected producer and remixer. He was commissioned to remix tracks by artists such as Seal, Pet Shop Boys, Orbital, and BT. His remix 'Embracing the Sunshine' was named 'Remix of the Year' in 1996. In the same year, he made it into the Top 20 with the single 'Be As One' featuring vocalist Maria Naylor. In 1998, he was commissioned to remix Madonna's 'Sky Fits Heaven' and 'Substitute For Love/Drowned World,' and he met producer William Orbit. Looking back on 1999, it's clear why DJ Sasha is one of the best. Thanks to him, relations between the European and American club scenes were established. DJ Sasha was the first English DJ recognized by America, and his CDs were released simultaneously on both continents. In 1999, Sony offered DJ Sasha to be the music director and producer of their most promising game 'Wipeout 3' (Sony Playstation's), which turned out to be the most popular game in 1999. Its amazing unique design, which won the 'Best Racing Game' and 'Best Game of the Show' awards at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (held in Los Angeles in May 99), along with five super tracks composed by DJ Sasha, made it the game of the year. In 1999, the Chemical Brothers approached DJ Sasha to remix their single 'Out of Control,' which was released on October 4 and received top ratings from critics. On Millennium Night, DJ Sasha played at three of the largest parties in the UK and also at Twilo (thanks to the time difference). The remixes, soundtracks for the best games, and elite residencies place DJ Sasha at the center of the club world.
