DJ Shadow Sells Himself

DJ Shadow has decided to turn his website into a retail store, showcasing a catalog of all of his previously released works. Truth be told, this is the first instance in history where a major label representative has put all of their products up for sale on their own site, bypassing all "representatives" and resellers. As stated on the DJ's official site - "If you love DJ Shadow, there's no better place to buy his music." It indeed features all of the musician's works, including early recordings from Mo'Wax.
It’s worth noting that the DJ signed a contract with the super-label Universal back in 1995. Thus, it’s clear - the media holding owned the rights to all early works from the English record label Mo'Wax. As a result, Shadow had to spend over a year sorting out all the legalities to open a large-scale online store.
"I essentially gathered all my records, tapes, CDs, and vinyl into one pile. It turned into a huge collection where everyone can find something new. I even added my old radio mix recorded back in 1998," shared the DJ.
