It seems that there are few fans of modern electronic dance music who do not know the name DJ T. Behind this pseudonym is Thomas Koch - a fanatical "vinyl" enthusiast, DJ and producer, founder of the first German-language electronic music magazine Groove, and co-founder of the now rapidly gaining fame label Get Physical Music. It all started in 1977, when Thomas bought his first vinyl record at the age of eight. His tastes were rooted in disco and hi-nrg in the early eighties, then smoothly flowed into the bosom of hip-hop and glam funk and finally settled in the boundless expanses of 4/4 beat between acid house, EBM, techo and electronic house. The first production experience took place in 2000 - DJ T, together with Steve Bug, released the single Monsterbaze on the latter’s Poker Flat label. And two years later, DJ T’s solo release “Philly” was released on the newly formed Get Physical Music, which immediately soared to the top of the independent dance charts.
