DJ Yousef at Leto

He was discovered by Muzik Magazine: a young Liverpool DJ with Egyptian roots "shot" at the Bedroom Bedlam contest. And from that moment, the rapid rise of DJ Yousef began. Getting into dance music at the age of thirteen, he attended raves and closely followed the work of Carl Cox and Prodigy. Then Yousef decided that he no longer liked hardcore and switched to more soulful dance music, which can be called more "European" than "American" house. Now in his work, you can find soul, garage, Chicago house, and Latin American music. In 1999, Muzik recommended fans and professionals of club music to pay attention to this young talent, and DJ Yousef received an offer to play at Pacha club in Ibiza. It's worth noting that Yousef calls this club his favorite. Not in vain: it was there that he was spotted by a representative of Ministry of Sound and immediately signed a contract. Yousef started playing regularly at this iconic London club on Fridays and Saturdays, as the talent of the young DJ turned out to be remarkably diverse. He also became a resident at the award-winning Renaissance club, Media. When the Ministry Management company closed, Yousef didn't have time to look back before Erick Morillo's manager offered him a contract. And just when he thought things couldn't get any better, he was awarded "The Best Bedroom Bedlam DJ'1999" at the Muzik Awards ceremony. In 2001, after a successful live performance on Radio 1, he was offered to play every Saturday on Seb Fontaine's evening show, which Yousef does with great success. The release of his first remix compilation was very well received. Studio work appealed to Yousef, and he and "Basics" resident Paul Woolford started making remixes under the alias 10,000 BC. They have remixed tracks for Aphrohead, Meeker, Stella Brown, Chocolate Puma, Hubert Hudson, Rainstar, Felix da Housecat. Currently, the duo plans to release their first album 10,000 BC.
