On February 2, as part of the traditional Monday movie nights at Solianka, a screening of the documentary film Joy Division directed by Grant Gee will take place. The story of the great Manchester band depicted in shades of black and white with familiar faces: the film features all individuals in some way connected to the life and death of Joy Division, from former band members who later became part of New Order, to Genesis P-Orridge from Psychic TV, whom Curtis visited a few hours before taking his own life. To avoid turning into another standard post-punk chronicle or melodrama based on Curtis's biography, Grant Gee, known for his film *Meeting People Is Easy* about Radiohead, not only lets eyewitnesses speak and includes live broadcasts from Manchester circa 1978 but also explores the sociocultural environment of that time and place, approaching it as meticulously as a genealogical relative without the inherent boredom typical of the documentary genre. Following the screening, Yuri Saprykin from the *Afisha* magazine will treat Solianka's guests to a special DJ set. **Start time**: 9:00 PM **Location**: 11 Solianka Street Free admission.
