Breathe deeper with Hot Arctic

In February, at the “Breathe Deeper” party, the Hot Arctic project from the famous musician Sergei Suokas will perform in support of the new album on the Electronica label. The event can be called a premiere, because previously Hot Arctic music was available only through releases on European labels Eklero Records and Electronica, and Sergey performed in Moscow clubs with his techno project Suokas. At Shanti, Hot Arctic music will be performed live for the first time.
Sergei Suokas about the new album Hot Arctic - The Earth:
“The earth is all we have, our home and collective fantasy, frozen for some in the form of a globe, and for others in the form of a daily routine, family or adventure. If it exists and occupies a large part of our existence, it means that it is for a reason and through it we can learn and remember why we came here.

Sergey Suokas is a musician, designer, dj and producer from Petrozavodsk. The range of Sergei's preferences is quite wide, but in general he focuses either on abstract electronics and sound design, or on ascetic techno. His music is original and diverse, but it is united by originality, atmospheric sound and minimalism.
Sergei’s interest in music began at the age of 9, when, among his father’s musical instruments, he was fascinated by a synthesizer and a drum machine. At the age of 13, he learned to play drums and took part in post-rock bands.
Sergei's career as an electronic musician began at the age of 14. On his first computer, he created intricate sound collages that can be described as ambient, idm and electroacoustic. The main influence on his work at that time was the Warp label, as well as representatives of the German electronic scene (Mouse On Mars, Microstoria, Oval, FS Blumm, FX Randomiz and others). His work did not go unnoticed, and the first track could already be found on the Plug’n’Play compilation, released on the Cheburec label.
In 2005, Sergei performed for the first time with the Suokas project in Moscow at the Gun Cafe. After 2 years, Suokas actively begins to tour Russia with a minimal techno program within the Nervmusic community. Soon his first record will be released on the Multivitamins label, as well as a cd released on Algorythmik - Live PA @ Solyanka.
While producing minimal techno, Sergey does not abandon his alternative projects - the ambient project Slow and the dance project Hot Arctic.
